Recipe:
- 500 gr of flour
- 1 spoon of dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 3 tablespoons of oil
- 350 ml of warm water
Preparation:
Put yeast, sugar, a pinch of flour in a bowl and cover with water. Mix and leave the yeast to rise for 5 minutes. Transfer the rising yeast to the flour, add oil, salt and knead the dough. I always knead the bread dough in a plastic container because it’s easiest for me. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise. When the dough has risen, that means the mixture has doubled in size, knead the dough with a wet hand and leave it to rise again. When the dough has risen again, transfer it to a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle. Transfer to a pan or mold, make a cut on the surface with a knife, cover with a cloth and leave to rise again. Bake the bread in a heated oven at 200 degrees until golden brown. After the bread has browned, turn off the oven and leave the bread in the hot oven for at least half an hour. Never take the bread out of the oven as soon as it’s golden brown, it won’t be nicely baked inside. After the bread is baked, you can spread it with butter, or you don’t have to. I just cover with a cloth.
